The new partnership builds on the continued success of the Ackworth Football Academy, which under the leadership of Director of Football John McDermott and Assistant Director of Football Gary Childs, has already established a strong reputation across the region.

The PSG Academy UK at Ackworth School will also host holiday camps and outreach programmes, making world-class football training available to young players across Yorkshire and beyond.

The football academy will offer young players aged 16-19 the chance to train under the renowned methodology of Paris Saint-Germain, while studying full-time at one of the UK’s leading further education colleges.

Combining the PSG Academy coaching model with Coleg Cambria’s strong academic provision, the programme will create unique pathways for students to develop their footballing talent and achieve their educational goals.

Through this partnership, we offer curricular Player Development Sessions, allowing young players to train the PSG way as part of their school experience. This initiative helps students develop their skills, technique, and understanding of the game while fostering a passion for football within an educational setting.

By integrating high-quality coaching into the school curriculum, we provide a unique pathway for young talent to grow both on and off the pitch.

This partnership will establish both an Academy and an Educational Pathway for players aged 16–18, combining high-level football training with academic studies delivered by VLUK (Virtual Learning UK).

Players will have the opportunity to represent the Academy in college league fixtures and national cup competitions, gaining invaluable experience in competitive environments.

PSG Academy Brantham welcomes players of all abilities and backgrounds, offering access to the world-renowned Paris Saint-Germain brand.  The programme is built around five key pillars: football, education, well-being, health, and social development—ensuring players grow both on and off the pitch.

With over 350 young players already part of Brantham Athletic’s youth system, this new Academy will integrate them into the Paris Saint-Germain Academy UK family, creating one of the top football development programmes in the region.

In partnership with Tredegar Comprehensive School, we’ve established a dynamic Player Development Programme that runs alongside our dedicated Mentorship Programme.
