It has been a standout week for PSG Academy North Wales as three of our exceptional female players; Scarlett, Lucy, and Ella who travelled to Cardiff to take part in the prestigious Welsh College Trials. Bringing together the top college-level footballers from across Wales, this event offers young athletes a rare opportunity to showcase their talent on a national stage and compete for a place on the Wales College Team.
From the moment the girls stepped onto the pitch, they rose confidently to the challenge. Known for its intensity and elite standards, the trial environment can be demanding even for seasoned players, yet Scarlett, Lucy, and Ella demonstrated composure, maturity, and belief in their game. Their performances reflected the dedication, discipline, and countless hours of training they consistently bring to both academy sessions and their individual development.
We are incredibly proud to announce that all three players successfully progressed through the first round of trials. This achievement highlights their technical excellence, sharp decision-making, and ability to stay calm under pressure. Progressing to the second round places them among the top emerging female talents within the Welsh college football system – a fantastic accomplishment by any measure!
Moments like this also shine a light on the strength and growth of the girls’ programme at PSG Academy North Wales. Supporting female football and building genuine pathways for young women to reach the next level is central to our mission. Seeing our players compete and excel on such a prominent platform reinforces the impact of that commitment.
