On Tuesday, 11th November, young players from PSG Academy West Midlands and PSG Academy Middleton enjoyed a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity as they attended the PSG Féminine open training session at the iconic Old Trafford stadium. Taking place ahead of PSG’s UEFA Women’s Champions League match against Manchester United, the visit offered our developing footballers an inspiring behind-the-scenes look at one of Europe’s elite women’s teams.

A Warm Welcome for PSG Féminine
Our players began the experience by forming a welcoming line for the PSG Féminine squad as they entered Old Trafford. This unforgettable moment allowed our academy athletes to connect with the professional players they admire- an inspiring start!
Exclusive Insight Into Elite Women’s Football
With pitchside access directly behind the technical area, our players were given a rare chance to observe the team’s MD-1 training routines up close. This included studying the session’s tempo, tactical preparation, and the high-performance standards expected at the top level of women’s football.
Witnessing the squad’s precision, intensity, and professionalism strengthened the players’ understanding of what it takes to succeed in the modern game. Many students shared how motivating it was to see world-class athletes preparing for a major UEFA Women’s Champions League fixture.
Meeting the Players: A Memorable Moment
After training, every member of the PSG Féminine squad took time to meet with our students, signing autographs, posing for photos, and offering words of encouragement. This incredible interaction left a lasting impression, boosting the confidence and enthusiasm of our young players.
A Powerful Experience for Player Development
The day at Old Trafford was far more than a stadium visit, it was a transformative learning experience. Opportunities like this help inspire young footballers, fuel their long-term development, and encourage them to continue working hard towards their goals.
