Education & Football Development Programme

The Education & Football Programme offers students aged 16-18 the opportunity to develop their football skills whilst building their knowledge of sport and furthering their education.

We have partnered with two colleges; Hopwood Hall College and University Centre in Manchester and St Martins School, Sixth Form in Caerphilly to provide this unique Diploma (1,2,3) in Sport which equates to a Pearson BTEC level (1,2 or 3) in Sport QCF. This also gives all participants the opportunity to head to University upon completion if desired or into employment.

This unique training programme which combines the Paris Saint-Germain Academy England with a diploma in sport is led by qualified, highly experienced and respected coaches.

Students are fully supported to reach their educational targets as well as developing as a footballer.

The Education

Hopwood Hall College provides high quality further education to school leavers. Their popular Football Academy was established in 2000 and has had huge success since, winning over 40 trophies both Internationally and locally! It has also produced a large amount of successful alumni!

The college has first class facilities . This includes a 3G pitch, award winning sports fields, weights room, gym and indoor training facilities

The programme focuses on the needs of students and helps them to progress with a combination of football training sessions, lectures and lessons throughout the academic year.

St Martin’s Sixth Form provides a wide range of A level and vocational BTEC courses for school leavers. Its extensive sporting facilties and sports clubs make it the perfect venue for the Football and Education programme in partnership with The Paris Saint-Germain Academy UK.

Examples of topics covered can be seen below.

The Football

The Paris Saint-Germain Academy UK aim to develop players of all abilities and bring the methodology of the Parisian club to the Academy at Hopwood Hall College and St Martin's Sixth Form. That includes both the Men’s Academy and Women’s Academy!

Fitness, health, wellbeing and nutrition are fundamental parts within the Academy and these will be key components to deliver to the students.

The training itself is developed by the Paris Saint-Germain technical staff and adapted to the position and level of each individual player. All players will learn to play the same way as the youth and first team in Paris.

Each player must purchase subsidised Paris Saint-Germain Academy UK kit bundle for classes, training and matches.
