The Paris Saint-Germain Academy World Cup 2026 was an unforgettable experience for PSG Academy UK, marking a historic milestone as both an U13 boys’ team and an U15 girls’ team competed in the prestigious international tournament for the very first time.
Hosted at the world-class PSG Campus, with the final matches taking place at the iconic Parc des Princes, the tournament brought together talented young players from PSG Academies across the globe for an incredible week of football, development, and unforgettable memories.
PSG Academy UK U15 Girls Impress in Historic Tournament Debut
The PSG Academy UK U15 girls’ team made an outstanding impression during their first-ever appearance at the PSG Academy World Cup, finishing second in their group after a series of excellent performances.
The girls opened the tournament with a dominant 4-0 victory over Morocco before securing an exciting 3-2 win against the United States in a thrilling end-to-end match.
Their final group game saw them face a strong and composed Canada side, where they suffered their first defeat of the competition. Finishing second in the group earned the team a quarter-final clash against Rwanda, where the girls narrowly missed out after a hard-fought encounter.
The team’s final match of the tournament once again came against Canada -this time at the legendary Parc des Princes. In a closely contested game, the girls were unfortunate to lose 1–0 after Canada scored the winning goal in the final 30 seconds to secure fifth place.
Throughout the tournament, the U15 girls displayed incredible determination, resilience, sportsmanship, and togetherness both on and off the pitch. Everyone at PSG Academy UK could not be prouder of how they represented the academy.
