The PSG Academy UK is coming to Brantham

October 9, 2024

For the first time, the Paris Saint-Germain Academy will create an East Anglian Hub based in Brantham, Suffolk. The new Academy will build on the foundations of Brantham Athletic Football Club and offer a new development programme open to all.

This ambitious project aims to develop both an Academy and an Educational pathway for players aged 16-18.

The new PSG Academy Brantham will allow players of all abilities and background to become part of a globally recognised brand, who not only focus on football, but also on education, well-being, health and social matters. This Academy will be one of the best in the area.

The well established club offers youth teams for over 350 players who will now become part of the Paris Saint-Germain Academy UK family.

Commenting on this development, the founder of Paris Saint-Germain Academy UK, Alex Harrap, said: “We are very proud of the Academy’s progress in England, where we have achieved our goal to propose a player pathway programme to hundreds of players throughout the UK. This opening in Brantham is a new adventure. After speaking with Cathal and the wider Brantham team we all thought this plan was going to be 100% successful. We look forward to what the future holds and cannot wait to get started.”

Commenting on this development, the PSG Academy Brantham Director, Cathal Morrison, said: “This is a massive step for not only the club, but the area and East Anglia in general. The team and I are looking forward to growing this academy together. A special mention needs to go to Alex who has been a pleasure to deal with over the past number of months, and as a club we are very pleased to get this over the line. We look forward to the future and we invite everyone to join us on the journey”.
